The Project
Nouvelle Vague
Anchored on the docks of Montreal's Old Port, the Aire commune team opened a new outdoor co-working space in 2019. Between land and water, Nouvelle Vague offered a convivial place to work, relax and socialize with the neighborhood's professional community.
Containers transformed into meeting rooms, free wi-fi, work tables with power sockets, café, bar, restaurant and the scent of the sea: for almost 5 months, Nouvelle Vague was the perfect destination for a creative day's work by the Saint-Lawrence River!

An ideal spot for a coffee, lunch or after-work drink in the heart of Montreal's Old Port, Nouvelle Vague's location has made it a ideal destination for workers and tourists.
Coworking space and events
Outdoor working area
Nouvelle Vague enabled workers in Old Montreal to enjoy the warm weather during working hours, while benefiting from all the amenities they needed to get their work done (internet connection, power outlets, adapted furniture, shaded areas, meeting rooms, etc.). The space fostered creativity and productivity, establishing itself as a smart and original alternative to the conventional office or meeting room.
Learning and encounter-based programming
The first edition of Nouvelle Vague was rich in events of all kinds. Art exhibitions, thematic event series, conferences, networking events and corporate groups: Nouvelle Vague was wonderfully suited to host different styles of events. Overall, 53 free events open to all were produced by the Aire commune team in summer 2019.

“Être en plein air et prendre des décisions en équipe c'est énergisant, le hic, c'est de retourner au bureau après la rencontre!! On a envie de continuer à profiter de la vue magnifique, du soleil et de l'air!”
