The project

Esplanade Louvain

  • 2019-2025
  • SDC District Central and the Borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville

A flagship project of Aire commune, Esplanade Louvain is an outdoor space designed primarily for work, relaxation, and socializing. Transforming a former vacant lot into a green oasis in the heart of a business district, the site welcomes thousands of workers, residents, and tourists every season.

Entirely designed, developed, and operated by Aire commune, Esplanade Louvain has become an iconic Montreal summer destination. Its popular Thursday evenings and diverse programming attract a large and engaged audience.

Since 2019, Esplanade Louvain has been a staple of Montreal’s summer, welcoming thousands of visitors each week and contributing to the cultural vitality of Ahuntsic-Cartierville. The project perfectly illustrates Aire commune’s ability to create iconic spaces where music and fun come together.

Testimonials

It’s a great social event where people can unwind from the work week, enjoy amazing music with friends as well as make new friends. It also allows the people from Montreal to come together to either network for the companies they work for or network for themselves. Additionally, Aire commmune creates spectacular memories.

— District Central resident
