Air Canada Lounge
As part of the Milan 2026 Olympic Games, Aire commune was commissioned to design and build Air Canada’s activation spaces, located both in Piazza del Duomo in the heart of Milan and in the mountain resort of Livigno. The team oversaw the fabrication of the design elements while drawing on its expertise in urban furniture and outdoor event installations.
The concept is inspired by the idea of a “cabin in the sky,” evoking the experience of air travel. A rhythmic sequence of windows recalls the fuselage of an aircraft, while a cloud graphic integrated into the glass railing creates a light, immersive atmosphere. At the heart of the space, a striking tiered seating installation serves as the project’s focal point. Designed as a welcoming gathering place, it symbolizes the diversity of the Canadian landscapes that Air Canada connects from coast to coast.
